I have enjoyed working with young children for as long as I can remember. Over the years I have found my passion working with children, facilitating experiences of the world around us. Whether it is engaging in classroom projects, sharing books, or taking a walk on the nature trail makes my day with the kids memorable and full of joy. I look forward to the many adventures that kindergarten will bring.
I have taught kindergarten at BJAMS since 2004. In past years I have worked at various schools located across the country teaching EEE (Preschool special needs) , kindergarten, second grade and special education. Each school was a learning experience and I was able to take something positive to add to my teaching methods. My undergraduate work was completed at Johnson State College and received an Elementary Education Degree and then received my Master’s Degree from the University of Conn. in Elementary Education with a certificate in reading. I take pride in being from a family of educators who found joy in the important work they did with their communities every day.
My husband and I have two grown children. My oldest boy is Matthew and a daughter Kristen. We love when they come home for visits. Enjoy those sweet smiles and sprinkled cupcakes. Before you know it they become twentysomethings!
