Michelle is no stranger to BJAMS with the number of roles she has served since enrolling her daughter Avery in Kindergarten in 2014. First and foremost, she is a BJAMS parent to Avery, Riley, and Emme! Michelle has served for five years on the Board of Trustees, helped manage the PTO for the last couple of years, and is currently the Development Coordinator for the school facilitating the school’s Annual Fund, seeking grant opportunities, and organizing the annual BASH fundraiser. Some might say that she has now taken on her most important role for the school as a Co-Director for the Afterschool Program.
Michelle and her husband have resided in Vermont for the last 18 years. They moved here from Maui and have never looked back. They are both professional chefs and love to cook and bake for anyone who is willing to eat. Michelle has an AAS in Baking and Pastry Arts and a BAS in Foodservice Management. She has two cake businesses , The Cakery Vermont specializing in wedding and celebration cakes, and Baby Bundts of Vermont specializing in gluten free/dairy free baking. “Baking has always been my life, but once we had kids it slowly started to shift. BJAMS has given my children so much. All we want to do is give back.”
Michelle grew up in urban Michigan and everyday loves to wake up to her panoramic view of the mountains. In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, running, reading (if she can keep her eyes open), and laughing a lot.
