I am thrilled to be joining the Bishop Marshall School community as the upper school math teacher for the coming year. I began my teaching career in Maryland as a high school math and science teacher, before moving with my family to Indonesia, and then Hong Kong, where I taught middle school math.
By the time we moved to Stowe in 1995, our family had grown to six children and our seventh was born right here in Morrisville. After 5 years in Stowe running a family daycare center, we taught in New York City, Egypt, India, and South Africa, continuing to enjoy our incredible summers in Vermont.
In March 2020 as the CoVID-19 pandemic began,  I was on spring break from teaching high school and middle school science in Dubai, when the country closed down and I could not return abroad. I had to complete the final months of the year teaching my students remotely between the hours of 12:30 am and 7 am! The upside was that I could experience springtime in Vermont for the first time in 20 years! I am excited to finally be back here permanently and look forward to many new adventures working with the students at BJAMS in the coming years.
