Josh O’Gorman is from southern Vermont, graduating from Arlington Memorial High School. His parents are ministers with the United Church of Christ. After graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in English and textual studies, Josh embarked on a circuitous life path – first as a whitewater raft guide and later an English teacher in Japan, – that eventually brought him back to Vermont. For 14 years, Josh was a newspaper reporter, covering everything from crime and select boards to State House politics for the Vermont Press Bureau in Montpelier. In 2020, Josh decided to return to education. He lives in Morrisville, and enjoys hiking and camping in the summer and a good book or movie in the winter.
